Katrinefors Mill was established in 1765 by Anders Rodin, who named the mill after his wife Anna Catrina Kryger. The mill is located on Lake Vänern in Mariestad, Sweden.
The mill has two paper machines, six converting lines and a deinking plant where we handle recycled paper used in the production process.
In Katrinefors mill we produce toilet tissue, household towels and industrial rolls. We have approximately 360 employees.
We operate sustainably
We are an active member of the local community. We employ a significant number of people and actively promote well-being at work. Our local involvement includes cooperation with schools, non-profit organisations, the media, decision-makers and partners such as KKAB, with whom we co-own a steam & power heating plant.
We continuously work to enhance the environmental sustainability. In our Katrinefors mill, the de-inking sludge is incinerated, which reduces the waste amount by 90%. The heat generated by this process is fully utilised e.g. for the central heating in the local community. The process also generates electricity that is being sold to third parties. As a result, we have managed to substantially reduce our CO2 emissions.
As a local corporate citizen, we also support selected local sports associations/events, as well as provide the possibility for external groups to visit our mills.
