The health and safety of our personnel is our priority, and we take systematic action to promote their welfare in all units. Being part of the Metsäliitto Group, we observe the Group’s common occupational safety and well-being (OSW) policy, and we have a system for monitoring accidents, occupational disease and absenteeism.
Instead of just taking corrective measures, our emphasis is on developing and promoting OSW as well as on the early identification and address of issues that constitute an endangerment to work capacity and safety.
Zero accident culture is actively promoted at all our mills. Even minor accidents and near misses are reported and analysed to prevent the future occurrence of any severe accidents. We strive to reduce sickness absenteeism by tackling the reasons for work-related ill-health.
