Metsä Tissue is a leading tissue paper products supplier to households and large-scale consumers in Europe. We are also the world’s leading supplier of baking and cooking paper products. Our main brands are Lambi, Serla, Mola, Tento, Katrin and Fasana. We have ten mills located in Finland, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Sweden and we employ some 3,300 people. Our turnover is EUR 860 million. Metsä Tissue is part of the Metsäliitto Group.

Metsä Tissue is the fifth largest supplier of tissue paper products in Europe and the market leader in the Nordic countries, the Baltic States, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. We are also the world’s leading supplier of baking and cooking paper products.

We supply bathroom tissue, household towels, handkerchiefs, napkins and facial tissue under the well-known brands of Lambi, Serla, Mola, Tento and Fasana. Our Away-from-Home brand Katrin, which applies the “Less is more” concept, also includes paper towels, industrial wipes and dispensing systems. The baking and cooking product range comprises siliconised greaseproof papers in a wide portfolio of products for both professional and household use.

In addition to our own brands, we develop and manufacture private label products for leading European retailers. To meet consumer needs, our products are continuously developed at our product development centre in Germany.

Metsä Tissue has ten mills: three in Germany, three in Sweden, two in Poland and one in Finland and in Slovakia, and have a total annual production capacity of over 600,000 tons.

We are the forerunner in the tissue industry as a developer of processes and procedures aimed at minimising the environmental impact of our operations. Recycled paper accounts for over 50% of the fibre used and 96% of the used virgin fibre comes from third party certified forests. All our mills have quality and environmental management systems according to international ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Metsä Tissue is part of the Metsäliitto Group, the tenth biggest forest industry group in the world (www.metsaliitto.com). Other shareholders are Finnish and Slovakian investors.

Metsä Tissue's turnover was EUR 861 million in 2007. The company employed 3,308 people.
