Committed to reducing CO2 emissions

Metsä Tissue has been granted a substantial subsidy from the European Commission for our Sustainable Low-Carbon Tissue Manufacturing Project. The optimisation of our heat recovery systems forms part of our Tissue 20 Project, which aims to improve our energy efficiency to a level comparable to 20% of our energy consumption in 2007 by the end of this year. We have already realised over 300 practical actions and thereby achieved an improvement level of 16% with an important positive ecological impact.
